Making Sheriff’s information easier to find

In June 2024, Suzanne asked whether the Sheriff’s report could have a dedicated place on the City website so residents who did not watch Council meetings could still see local activity and safety information. Staff confirmed the underlying data was public.

Adding practical fire-safety information

In March 2025, she asked that the Fire Chief’s regular reporting include information about chickens, heat lamps, and related fire risks so the monthly report would also provide residents with a practical prevention reminder.

Reviewing the law-enforcement contract

During the 2026 law-enforcement contract review in July 2025, Suzanne asked how often radios are replaced, what happens to unused contracted funds, and how County reimbursements work. Those questions focused on how the City’s dedicated-law-enforcement spending is administered rather than simply the headline contract amount.

Animal-control costs

In September 2025, as Council discussed changes in animal-control service, Suzanne asked whether the City could require an animal owner to reimburse City costs and where the County animal-control facility was located.
